On January 12th, David Derler (TU Graz) gave a talk on recent results obtained within CREDENTIAL at the Real World Crypto Symposium in Zurich, Switzerland. The talk was about a novel primitive termed Bloom filter encryption and its applications to reducing the latency of secure communication via public channels such as the internet.

In 2017 the CREDENTIAL consortium members participated in more than 40 events, with high profile conferences and workshops, and industry events among them. In the following we take a look back at some of the 2017 events which gave the opportunity to the CREDENTIAL partners to communicate the project results and interact with a diverse audience, and contribute to a successful project year.

CREDENTIAL, its partner project PRISMACLOUD, and the DPSP Cluster are organizing a Workshop on Security, Privacy, and Identity Management in the Cloud at this year's ARES conference, the 13th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security on August 27 - August 30, 2018 in Hamburg, Germany.

As announced in our March newsletter, CREDENTIAL requested a Category C liaison to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 in „IT Security Techniques“ during the SC 27 WG and plenary meeting in Hamilton, New Zealand, in April 2017. Specifically, liaisons to WG 2 on „Cryptography and Security Mechanisms“ and WG 5 on „Identity Management and Privacy Technologies“ were requested.

cyberwatching.eu is the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy.

CREDENTIAL established a cooperation with the cyberwatching.eu project which is a Coordination and Support Action, and will support the CREDENTIAL project with the promotion of the project results, outputs and news and as a result increase visibility.

CloudWATCH2, Think Cloud Services for Government, Business and Research, launched on 1 September 2015, which leads on from the successful CloudWATCH project which finishes on 30 September 2015.
